"
According to the controls...outside
the TARDIS, the universe...is gone!"
A mysterious vortex envelopes the TARDIS,
and in it's wake the universe vanishes. Unable to explain how
this could suddenly happen, the Doctor finds one clue: it originated
from 13th Century England, Christine's home time.
What caused the vortex? While the Doctor
and Christine travel to the 13th Century to uncover the mystery
behind the vortex, they are unaware that there is already another
presence there, a band of technologically advanced aliens. But
what is their purpose in this time period? And how is it that
their leader, Draxen, already knows the Doctor since the Doctor
has never met her before?
Soon, strange things begin to happen.
Christine appears to be older and more modern, people whom the
Doctor has never encountered behave as if they were old enemies.
And there seems be an unusually high level of temporal energy
in the area, even for 13th Century Earth.
Past, Present, and Future are colliding.
As always, the Doctor is right in the thick of things. But how
can he have to time to save everything, when everything has already
been destroyed?
